Today, HSU leaders and staff from across the country heard from AFL legend and longtime activist, Michael Long.
Michael shared with us his plans to support the #Yes23 vote by recreating the Long Walk – a 650km journey by foot from Melbourne to Parliament House, Canberra.
We discussed the exciting opportunity ahead of us as a nation to empower Australia’s First Nations peoples by voting Yes in the upcoming Voice to Parliament referendum.
The HSU is proudly donating $10,000 to support The Long Walk charity in its mission to promote, develop and empower Australia’s First Nations peoples.
The HSU and its members will be among the thousands joining Michael along the way as he walks from community to community.
