Health Workers Union (HWU)

The HSU Victoria No. 1 Branch trades as the Health Workers Union (HWU). The HWU is one of Victoria’s largest health sector unions, covering many of the classifications of frontline employees working in aged care, disability, public and private hospitals, community health, aboriginal health and pathology.  Classifications covered by the HWU include aged carers, kitchen and laundry workers, leisure and lifestyle workers, environmental services, patient services assistants, cleaners, clerical, allied health, security officers, pathology collectors, couriers, theatre technicians, instrument technicians and many more.
