Update 18.3.21 – The Morrison Government has been forced to gut its anti-worker IR Omnibus Bill.
Thank you to all our members and supporters who campaigned with us to successfully stop many of the worst aspects of this Bill.
And thank you to the Australian Labor Party, the Australian Greens, Senator Jacqui Lambie and Senator Rex Patrick for standing up for workers and opposing the IR Omnibus Bill.
More on the outcome here.

The Morrison Government is trying to make changes to the federal Industrial Relations (IR) legislation with its IR Omnibus Bill. The changes being proposed will impact you by weakening your workplace rights and protections.
These changes will make it harder for you to negotiate decent wages and conditions. They will also result in more casual work. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us all what a devastating impact job insecurity has on healthcare workers and our communities.
The Bill must not become law. You can help in the fight to stop the Bill.
The Government’s IR Bill is not necessary. Workers need secure jobs and wages so we can support our local communities and help them thrive.
This is what a genuine economic recovery plan should look like.
Big corporations do not need more power. Instead, workers need someone to stand up for them.
By emailing the Crossbench you are asking them to support you and your workplace rights by rejecting the proposed changes.
We must work together stop the IR Omnibus Bill.
