Thank You!06 December 2007At the last election working people and their families voted to change the government. The HSU joins unions across Australia to say "thank you!" John Howard's extreme workplace laws lead to his defeat and the defeat of his government. He simply went too far. Our union, played a part. Ordinary members talked to their neighbours about John Howard's unfair workplace laws. In Tasmania, the ACT and New South Wales, HSU members visited health workers in their homes to talk about the unfair laws and asked health workers to vote against John Howard's government and get rid of the unfair workplace laws. In Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, HSU members talked individually with their fellow workers about the unfair laws and the need to get rid of the Howard government. In Queensland, HSU members went to community groups, letterboxed communities and asked working people and their families to get rid of John Howard, his government and his unfair laws. And it worked! All across Australia HSU members joined other union members and working people and their families to say enough is enough. We helped change Australia for the better and bring back fairness to our workplace laws. Thank you! Download File: |
