Victorian Number 2 Branch state wide delegates meeting - 18 October 200712 October 2007A further statewide meeting of Victorian Number 2 Branch (Health And Community Services Union [HACSU]) Delegates and members has been called to report back on the progress of the Victorian Mental Health EBA discussions and to determine the implementation of further action in support of our claims. The Victorian Government and Health Services have not improved their EBA offer. They are continuing to press claims for short shifts, staggered starts, and flexible movement of staff across programs and worksites. They also want to take away conditions like change of shift and qualifications allowances. It is now crucial that all mental health staff from all disciplines make a stand to improve staffing and workloads and to improve and protect working conditions and arrangements that recognises and values all mental health staff. Thursday 18 October 2007 The Vic #2 Branch is prepared to leave skeleton staffing in place however if management refuse leave to attend members should take stop work action and attend the meeting. Non members are welcome to attend and join the Vic #2 Branch - membership forms will be available at the meeting. Contact the Vic #2 Branch Info line on 1300 651 931 for further details or check out the website |
