I'm earning less now than I was two years ago

10 October 2007

Seventeen year old Renee Pitman from Carseldine, was given an AWA individual contract that took away her penalty rates and overtime. She worked ANZAC day, Boxing Day and the Easter break at a flat rate.

Grandmother Annette Virgen from Banyo Queensland, was sacked for no reason after 9 years of loyal service. Annette asks, "Who's benefiting from these IR laws? Is it just big business? It's not the working families. It's not the people in our neighbourhood."

Renee and Annette are real people who have felt the impact of John Howard's unfair Industrial Relations laws first hand. Watch Renee's and Annette's story on You Tube.
